1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Campaign Tracker (available at campaigntracker.ai), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Campaign Tracker ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Campaign Tracker is a political campaign finance intelligence platform that monitors and surfaces data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Our service includes:

  • Real-time monitoring of FEC electronic filings (Forms F3, F24, F6, and others)
  • Searchable database of candidates, committees, and campaign finance reports
  • Email alert notifications when committees you follow submit new filings
  • Race-level dashboards showing fundraising totals and filing history
  • Independent expenditure tracking and reporting

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

To access certain features of the service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@campaigntracker.ai
  • Not share your account credentials with any third party

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our sole discretion, including for violation of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Campaign Tracker offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout, and are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged for subsequent periods.
  • Refunds: We do not offer prorated refunds for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices upon reasonable notice. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
  • Taxes: Prices do not include applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout based on your location.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Campaign Tracker only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service using automated tools, bots, or scripts without express written permission from Campaign Tracker
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute data obtained from the service without our express written consent
  • Use the service to build a competing product or service
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service or its infrastructure
  • Use the service in any manner that could violate applicable law, including election law, campaign finance regulations, or privacy law
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code

Violation of these acceptable use provisions may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

6. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Campaign finance data displayed through the service is sourced from FEC public records. This data is public record under federal law and does not constitute confidential or proprietary information of Campaign Tracker.

7. Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, software, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Campaign Tracker and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for your own personal or internal business purposes. No other rights are granted.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be accurate, complete, or current.

Campaign Tracker makes reasonable efforts to surface FEC data promptly and accurately, but filing data reflects what has been submitted to and published by the FEC. We are not responsible for errors or delays in FEC data publication.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMPAIGN TRACKER AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CAMPAIGN TRACKER IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Campaign Tracker and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware. You waive any objection to such jurisdiction or venue.

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@campaigntracker.ai to attempt resolution informally for at least 30 days.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.
